Jamie Hicks started at age 18 as a manager for Sohio Oil Company in the Stonecreek location off of Interstate 77. Over the years he managed locations in Uhrichsville, West Lafayette, and was the manger of the Interstate 77 and State Route 36 station in Newcomerstown for 10 years. During the ten year period in Newcomerstown, he owned and operated Hicks' Wrecker Service.
In early 1990 Jamie sold the wrecker service business and moved to the Dover-New Philadelphia area. Jamie leased two locations from BP Oil on South Broadway in New Philadelphia and on Wooster Avenue in Dover.
Following BP Oil's decision to close the Dover location, Jamie and his wife purchased and operated the Shell Food Mart on Chestnut Street in Coshocton. In July of 1998 Jamie opened Automotive Performance. In May of 1999 Jamie sold the Coshocton operation to dedicate all his energy and resources to the growing Automotive Performance.
In August of 2017, Gary Brill joined Jamie as partner in the business. Gary has been a long time employee with over 42 years experience.
Automotive Performance has been at this location for over 26 years with over 89 years of certified repair service experience.
Vehicle Repair:
We perform all types of Auto and Truck Repairs, from bumper to bumper.
We feature a complete line of tires and batteries. We also do front end alignments, engine diagnostics, computer diagnostics, air conditioner service, and we rebuild or replace engines and transmissions.
